Healthy Skin Comes First
Healthy skin is the foundation of every treatment. If your skin is tight, dry, or irritated, hydration and barrier support may be recommended 2 weeks before treatment. For clients prone to dark marks or hyperpigmentation, a brightening protocol may be recommended 2 weeks before treatment. Pause retinoids and actives 1 week before treatment.
Microneedling Contraindications
Active acne, infection, cold sores, open wounds, active skin conditions, recent sunburn, pregnancy, cancer treatment, impaired healing, keloid scarring, recent isotretinoin use, or bleeding disorders/blood thinners.
Botox: 2 weeks
Filler: 2–4 weeks, once fully settled
Topical retinoids: Stop 3–5 days prior
Peels/Laser: Wait until fully healed
